Theo loves helping in the kitchen, so I figured we would try the Raddish Kids cooking club subscription for something new to do this summer. It’s a cooking club subscription that comes with recipe cards and a new kitchen tool each month. They have a monthly, 6 month, or full year subscription available.
Ours came with recipe cards to make chicken parm and garlic green beans, with fondue options for dessert. While there is no actual food shipped with the kit, I surprisingly liked that we could pick the groceries ourselves. The kit includes the recipe cards and shopping list, but if you have allergies in your family it makes it so much easier for you to substitute or include brands your family already uses and trusts.
We made the different fondues last night and no surprise the chocolate was his favorite! I think the kit is a great way to safely introduce kitchen new tools, plus get them excited about learning new foods. We learned how much Theo enjoys things like cutting foods, washing plates, and mixing ingredients after he was exposed to a lot of practical life elements at his Montessori school. This subscription would also make a great practical life supplement to a homeschool curriculum if that’s in your plans this fall.
You get:
-3 recipe cards and a shopping list- (no ingredients will be delivered in the box)
-kitchen tool- ours came with a garlic mincer which Theo thought was the coolest and now wants to mince everything
-3 culinary skill sets
-a little patch for your child’s apron
-cards that prompt dinner time conversation as well as a little kitchen project
If you’re interested, you can save $15 on the 6 month subscription box using code “ATHOME” here
Thank you to Raddish Kids for the gifted kit.
As always, the opinions above are 100% my own.
