These are the things Theo already owns and loves, or will be receiving for Christmas!
- Cleaning Set– Theo has loved our Swiffer well before he could walk, so now that he’s on the move we can’t take the vacuum or mop out without him running over to help us. This set is perfect because he can sweep along side me, and I can actually get the floor cleaned! It’s really good quality and comes with it’s own stand so he can access it on his own.
2. Wood Play Food & Crates– This is one of the gifts that he’ll be receiving this Christmas. We take him to MyGym classes and one of his favorite activities is to take out all of the play food and load it into shopping carts. This set is so reasonably priced and such great quality, which is something I look for since he is ROUGH on his toys!
3. Sensory Ball– I bought this ball before our trip to Hawaii, just to have something to keep him occupied while we were in the hotel room getting ready. It has easily become one of his top favorite toys. It’s extremely bouncy, and perfect for little hands! (Just a heads up that you don’t get to pick the color of ball even though a blue one is shown in the picture. When ours arrived it was orange, which I was surprised by, but Theo couldn’t care less.)
4. Magnetic Wooden Blocks– This is another Christmas gift for him. These are perfect for travelling or for restaurant play before the food arrives. Good quality and they come in a pouch for easy storage. I also love how they encourage open play- I’m excited to see how he plays with them!
5. DUPLO Bricks– I might be a little biased towards these toys based on my work history, but you really can’t beat them. Theo started playing with DUPLO a little before his first birthday, and now it’s one of the only toys that he will independently play with. He still can’t stack the bricks on his own, but he loves pulling them apart and playing with any of them that include wheels. This set is super affordable too (Less than $10!) and a great way to start your collection.
6. Shopping Cart– Like I mentioned above, one of his favorite thing to do during his MyGym classes, is to push the shopping carts around. He would do it for the entire class hour if they let him, so I thought it would be the perfect Christmas gift!
7. Wooden Puzzle– This was gifted to Theo for his birthday and it’s another one of his favorite toys. The animal pieces are chunky wood blocks which is perfect for his chubby little hands. He loves taking the animals off and hiding this around the house. We’re still working on getting him to put them back onto the puzzle, but it’s another great gift for open ended play!
Other great gift ideas are things like museum passes, music classes, or indoor gym play passes.
These last all year and are great ways to get kids out of the house!
